Leidos Computer Research Scientist in SAN DIEGO, California
The Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) of Leidos has an opportunity for a motivated, full-time research scientist located in our San Diego, CA office.
This is a unique opportunity to work on exciting, mission critical research where you’ll work side-by-side with some of the top research scientists in the nation on programs of significance to national security. You will support research and development of the automation of computer architectures and deployment of software to heterogeneous processing architectures, as well as developing approaches to intrinsic hardware security. Your expertise in Machine Learning, Computer Design and Architecture and FPGA will be needed to drive research.Candidate will work independently and lead small teams to research and develop methods to automate selection of computer architectures and software deployment in order to meet functional requirements. Progress will be reported to program and line management to ensure developments are incorporated into a larger business plan to grow Leidos’ work in this and related areas and to best utilize the results in the capture and execution of new Leidos work.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must minimally meet the following requirements:
BS in related field, e.g. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and 8-10 years’ related experience OR Masters with 6-10 years’ experience; may also possess Doctorate.
Ability to acquire a TS security clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Research experience in hardware security and machine learning for optimizing or automating processes
Statistical modeling expertise
Programming in C/C++ and/or Python
Experience in sensor phenomenology – acoustics, optics, IR, and/or radio frequency – and signal processing
Ability to communicate results with team members and customers of varied backgrounds
- PhD in related field
