The Sr. Sales Engineer will provide pre-sales support for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions. During the sales effort, you will leverage in-depth product and service knowledge to architect systems, solve complex business/technical challenges, and provide technical consultation to both sales staff and customer representatives.

You will assist customers in assessing the potential application of company products and services to meet customer needs, evaluate solution duration and work effort, and set appropriate expectations regarding feasibility. You will document project scope and high level requirements by preparing detailed Statements of Work.

In addition you will be required to assist with Portfolio Management and ensure all project related invoicing is accurate.

You must be a self-motivated, assertive, enthusiastic team player with exceptional diplomatic, written and verbal communication skills. Must possess common sense, a dedication to excellence, and place a premium on personal integrity. Must be willing to travel across the continental United States.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Project management, complex systems troubleshooting, customer service and sales. You have a technical knowledge of SQL, integration technologies (e.g., FTP, SFTP and web services). You also have business analyst skills and understand portfolio management. Some experience and or exposure to the sales process would be a plus.

Job Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Is able to set realistic expectations despite pressure to commit to overly optimistic expectations.

Supervision: Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).

Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 8-10 years of related experience. Experience with formal project management, business analysis, and systems engineering all required.

Education: Bachelors required.

Written Abilities: Proficient grammar, sentence structure and written communication skills.

Technical Experience: Extensive Microsoft background, systems engineering and architecture design and network engineering.
